The P&DD is doing a micro-study of Fenkell Ave. Corridor to strategically leverage City resources to transform the neighborhood's image & perception, focusing on emphasizing the sense of pride among residents and attracting positive attention to the area.

Recognized for its good connectivity with amenities and transit lines that enhance access.
Positive changes are noted including beautification and growth driven by active community involvement.

It was noted about the trash that continues to be along the corridor, there are receptacles placed for use and it was encouraged to "see something say something".

Dave Walker mentioned possibly getting involved with "Green Light Corridor" so businesses can opt in to having cameras.
It was also suggested to have porch lights turned on for added safety.

Ms. Varner reiterated that folks are not going to spend their money, personal and businesses, in a corridor that doesn't look nice.

Comments were made about better support for new businesses in the area. Dave Walker suggested creating a business association as a resource.

Free Family Event on Saturday, August 3rd, 11am - 3pm at the local community meeting. Giving away bikes, schools supplies, food, and the Wayne County Health Mobile Unit will be present. This event is in memory of Gwendolyn.
