NPU-Y includes the neighborhoods of Amal Heights, Betmar LaVilla, Chosewood Park, Englewood Manor, High Point, Joyland, Lakewood Heights, South Atlanta, and The Villages at Carver

NPUs are official, volunteer-managed organizations that provide input to the City of Atlanta on public safety, permits, land use, planning (including variances & zoning), liquor licenses, and special events & festivals, among other neighborhood matters. There are 25 NPUs across the city. They were created by Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson in 1974 to elevate resident voices. NPUs typically meet once a month to conduct business.
