The Cleveland Board of Control consists of members of the mayor’s cabinet and leaders of city departments. City Council passes some legislation – particularly legislation that authorizes the city to enter contracts for various purposes – that leaves vendor selection and compensation to be set by the Board of Control. The board makes those decisions in this meeting, and it also holds votes on the sale and purchase of land parcels.

The agenda for this meeting will be added to this page when it is available (usually the afternoon before the meeting).

Hi #Cleveland, I'll be live-tweeting today’s Board of Control meeting on 12/7/22 for @CLEdocumenters & @signalcleveland. The meeting began at 3 p.m. The meeting today will be discussing info on finance, public utilities, post control, capital projects, and community development.

02:22 PM Dec 7, 2022 CST

Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 2/10
The meeting began at 3:02 p.m. with the calling of the roll. Everyone was present.
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 3/10
Resolutions were given. Approving requirement contract to Paladin Protective Systems, Inc. for the Milestone
Care Plus/Premium Video Management System Licensing for one year w/ 2 one-year renewal options for $100,450.88 was passed
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 4/10
The port control resolution is to track vehicles out in the airfield. This would up be giving people knowledge of where vehicles are, and once it would come to airfield, it'd let them know. A truck was driven onto the premises. This resolution was passed.
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 5/10
The next resolution was on Capital Projects. The audio got tough with this resolution. These projects would end up increasing fees to not to exceed
$432,545.26.
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 6/10
The Community Development resolution was a lot of information. There were several areas of interest here. The agenda should've been more detailed though, as stated by the board. The resolution is in consistent with what they were voting on, and there was discrepancy.
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 7/10
Gong off the last tweet, there will be family developments here. There was also some confusion as to whether it would be on the East vs. the West, as it didn't say in the agenda.
Nick Ventura @Nick_Ventura11 8/10
The meeting was adjourned at 3:18 p.m. This ends the live-tweeting of the Board of Control on December 7th, 2022.
